Heartland Consulting has been awarded two task orders by Western Area Power Administration (WAPA). WAPA owns, operates, and maintains multiple high voltage substations in the western United States, extended across 15 states in the western area. A critical component of these substations is the electrical service, which provides primary power to the substation operating elements. Heartland will be providing support services regarding records and database management, acquisition support and contract preparation. Additionally, Heartland will be providing technical engineering support for multiple substations in WAPA’s California district, which will include a complete evaluation of the system. These studies include enterprise-wide evaluation of performance efficiencies, as well as redesign and installation.
