McLean, VA – The Heartland-Energetics Joint Venture announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Office of Technology Transitions (OTT) for data collection, evaluation and reporting activities in support of the DOE National Laboratory’s technology transfer activities and statutory requirements. Heartland will support DOE OTT in furtherance of its mission: the expansion of the commercial impact of DOE’s research and development efforts to advance the Nation’s economic, energy, and national security interests.
The OTT was established in 2015 to enhance the DOE’s technology transfer efforts. OTT streamlines access to information and to DOE’s national labs and facilities, with the goal of moving innovations from the laboratory into the marketplace. Heartland will assist the OTT by writing, modifying, and testing data analytics software to support the generation of evidence-based evaluations and impact case studies and in the generation of reports. These activities enable OTT to meet DOE’s statutory technology transfer requirements and to inform the strategic planning and direction efforts of DOE’s National Laboratory technology transfer activities.
John English, CEO of Heartland Consulting, said, “Heartland is very pleased to win this work for the DOE. We are excited to expand our range of data collection and analysis services within DOE, where we are currently providing appliance standards & regulatory support. Previously, Heartland provided professional support services to the DOE Western Area Power Administration. We continue to look forward to a very productive and results-driven partnership.”
