Washington D.C. – Heartland Consulting is pleased to be working with The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Forest Service to improve efficiency and effectiveness in complying with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). Heartland will be working closely with the Forest Service’s Ecosystems Management Coordination (EMC) staff. Heartland’s proven experience in business transformation planning and environmental consulting will be critical to defining solutions and protecting the environment.
NEPA ensures that an understanding of environmental, economic, and social effects of proposed actions are available when public officials make decisions. This process allows the Forest Service to succeed in its mission to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s forests and grasslands to meet the needs of present and future generations.
“Heartland looks forward to supporting the EMC staff in laying the foundation for the electronic management of NEPA”, said John English, CEO of Heartland Consulting. “Providing solutions to business transformation challenges is something we have extensive experience with and we are pleased to provide this managerial and technical support to the Forest Service.”
