McLean, VA – Heartland Consulting has been awarded a prime contract to provide Audit Sustainment Support Services for the Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), a division of the Department of Defense. WHS provides a wide range of centralized capabilities to DoD headquarters and components, enabling economies of scale for delivering essential administrative services to fulfill the mission of the Department. Heartland’s support will enhance efforts to ensure that all business processes and applicable controls remain ready for annual audit as WHS shifts from a substantive audit focus to an internal controls and IT controls-based approach.  “Our team is very excited to expand our suite of audit readiness and sustainment services to the WHS, and we are looking forward to a very productive and results-driven partnership,” said Heartland’s Chief Executive Officer, John English.

Heartland Consulting is an SBA certified 8(a) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned-Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides expertise in financial management, management consulting, information technology, and administrative support services to the federal government and private sector clients.
